We were really excited when Jake called us and asked us to take his senior photos – we had photographed him before as part of Kennedy Dance Centre’s annual performance. Vicky and I knew he could sing, dance, and perform on stage, but we were still amazed when we walked into his family’s church to start the shoot and found him playing the piano, singing Aerosmith’s “Don’t wanna miss a thing”. We let Jake continue to play while we photographed him from a bunch of different angles, using both studio light and the soft light filtering in through the stained glass windows.
Talleyrand Park was our next stop, and Jake provided us with one of our more memorable shoots – he was full of creative energy, cool poses, and humor. The hardest part for us was simply to keep up and not miss anything! Thanks a million, Jake – we had a blast!

Hello everyone – we’re back again with our latest senior from State High – Alli. From the moment she walked into our studio, we knew we were going to have a great time – Alli has a natural, relaxed presence, a great smile, and can really move for the camera! We spent the entire session in the studio, keeping it simple with white and black backgrounds. We finished up with some volleyball pics – trying to catch the ball in the air and Alli with her game face on took us a few tries! Oh, and by the way – there are some snippets of video in the slideshow – check it out!

Here’s our latest high school senior – meet Laura. We’ve actually been photographing her for a few years – Laura is a figure skater, and we’ve taken her portraits as well as photographing her skating during the Penn State Ice Show. After spending some time in the studio, we took a walk through the back streets of Boalsburg, stopping at a few favorite places. We asked Laura to do the “model walk” for us, and she happily agreed, even taking our suggestion to stop and give us her best “pout” – nobody (including Laura) could keep a straight face for long!

August is a big wedding month in State College, but we finally found some time to show you some of our seniors…. We met Emily at Hintz Alumni Center for her senior session (yes, it’s a very popular place for photos!). It was a beautiful evening and Emily couldn’t stop smiling – we all had a great time! We did manage to get a few serious looks out of her, but Emily’s smile won out in the end…

Here’s a few images from Bobby’s senior session around the Penn State Campus – we had to cut the first session short due to rain, but the weather cooperated beautifully for our second meeting. Our thanks to Bobby for being totally happy, relaxed, and into the shoot!
