We first met Amanda and Kyle at Amanda’s sister’s wedding in June of 2010. We were very excited when they asked us to be their photographers, too! We enjoy photographing weddings for siblings, especially because we already know many of the family members and guests at the wedding We met Amanda and Kyle at the Nittany Lion Inn for some getting ready photos before the ceremony at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the Penn State campus. After an exit to ringing bells, we were off on a campus tour to the Nittany Lion Shrine, Hintz Alumni Center, and Old Main. Then it was off to the reception at the Nittany Lion Inn, which was beautifully decorated by Woodrings Floral Gardens. It was a great reception, highlighted by a custom made “duck hunter” cake and a very interesting take on the garter removal (you’ll have to check out the video slideshow!).
We had an amazing day with Megan and Jamie! After their ceremony at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center we set out on a little campus tour. Our first stop was the Nittany Lion Shrine, followed by Old Main. The animated wedding party and the bright colors they chose made for some vibrant photos! We loved Megan’s blue heels and Jamie’s colored vest, and the beautiful flowers from Woodrings Floral Gardens. After a few shots at Beaver Stadium we were off to the reception at the Days Inn, with DJ Eric Stoner from Nittany Entertainment keeping the night running smoothly and the dance floor hopping. Instead of a large wedding cake, the newlyweds cut their own smaller cake topped with miniature Nittany Lion bride and groom and the guest were treated to a variety of tasty cupcakes from ndulge cupcake boutique. The bridal dance ended with everyone surrounding Megan and Jamie working hard to break through to get to her – we’re glad he finally got in there We were fortunate to be able to capture some video of him sweeping her away (by holding the cameras way up over our heads!) and it made for a great end to the slideshow!

Kristen and Jason were married at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the Penn State campus with the reception held at the Nittany Lion Inn. We went our separate ways to start the day – Vicky with Kristen and the girls and Jim with Jason and the guys. We met up at the Hintz Alumni Center for a “first look” and some pre-wedding photos of the bride and groom and the wedding party (of course, we also headed over to the Nittany Lion Shrine!). Then it was off to the ceremony at Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, officiated by Jeremiah Kingshipp. The reception at the Nittany Lion Inn was exquisitely decorated by Daniel Vaughn Designs, both inside and outside the ballroom, and The Impact Band kept the dance floor jumping well into the night!
We had a wonderful time at Gwen and Eric’s wedding! We met them both as they were getting ready at the Nittany Lion Inn (I went with the girls, Jim with the guys). The Molly Trolley provided transportation to the ceremony for Eric and his groomsmen before returning to the Inn for Gwen and her bridesmaids. Then it was off to the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, where Judge David Grine, a close family friend, officiated the ceremony. We took a campus tour to Old Main, Hintz Alumni Center and, of course, the Nittany Lion Shrine before heading back to the Nittany Lion Inn for the reception. The entire wedding from ceremony to reception was beautifully decorated by Avant Garden, providing a romantic atmosphere for the evening. The always entertaining DJ Jeff Helffrich played great music and kept the night running smoothly, as he always does! It was especially fun to see the bride and groom tossed in the air toward the end of the night – check out the photos and slideshow below – they were totally airborne!

Vicky and Jim
We met Sarah and Mike at Toftrees Resort for “getting ready” coverage, one of our favorite parts of the wedding day. Since there are two of us, we go in two separate directions – Vicky with the girls and Jim with the guys – to capture some wonderful moments before the ceremony. Sarah and Mike were married at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the campus of Penn State University. After an exit to bubbles, we headed over to The Nittany Lion Shrine, Hintz Alumni Center and Old Main for a few romantic photos of the newlyweds and some fun shots with the wedding party – check out the favorites below! Then it was off to Toftrees Resort for the reception, with Nittany Entertainment providing great music, amazing floral design by Avant Gardens, and yellow and blue table decor – so colorful and beautiful! In addition to the wedding cake, Delectable Delights by Heather Luse created individual cakes in a variety of flavors and design as centerpieces for each table. Guests had a great time sampling cakes from other tables and searching for the chocolate cake, which of course, was gone quickly!
What a great way to end a wonderful day – congratulations Sarah and Mike!
We had an amazing time with Kara and Matt and their families and friends! They were married at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the Penn State Campus. It was a true PSU wedding – check out Kara’s blue shoes and Matt’s blue & white socks in the photos below! There were quite a few tears shed during the ceremony and a very special surprise appearance by Kara’s grandmother (more tears!). We did a campus tour to all of the important spots – The Nittany Lion Shrine, Hintz Alumni Center, Old Main, and the Penn State sign by Beaver Stadium – and got some wonderful images! Then it was off to General Potter Farm for the reception, with beautiful floral design by Avant Garden, cake from Delectable Delights and music from Nittany Entertainment. We love General Potter Farm receptions for the wonderful, warm ambience. The toasts by the maid of honor and best man were two of the most heartfelt we’ve heard (yes, more tears!). The toasts were followed by the 1st dance and parent dances (and yes, even more tears!!). Kara and Matt, thanks so much for having us as your photographers – we enjoyed every minute! Becky and Auggie were married at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the Penn State University campus. Both the bride and the groom started out the day at The Nittany Lion Inn, a great location for getting ready photos – accented with beautiful flowers by Narber’s Floral Company. Then it was off to the ceremony and a short campus tour (it was a HOT day!) before heading back to the Inn for the reception. Lively music by the DJ, Mark Giordano, a friend of Becky and Auggie, had the dance floor filled for the rest of the night!
Our first wedding of the season! Cristina and Kevin were married on April 17th at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center at Penn State. Cristina’s family is from Ecuador, and her uncle was the officiant. There was a translator, so the ceremony was in Spanish and English – it was our first dual language ceremony! We had great weather here in State College… up until the wedding day, of course. It was a bit gray and rainy and colder than we would have liked, but everyone was in good spirits – a very happy crowd Although we prefer sunny and warm weather, overcast days are sooo much better for photos! After our campus tour, it was off to the reception at Toftrees Resort for lots of fun and dancing. We even got a chance to sneak outside for some beautiful shots at dusk. What a great way to start the 2010 wedding season – Thanks, Cristina and Kevin!
The last two weeks have been incredibly busy, but we’ve finally managed to get some photos up from Erica and Kelly’s wedding. They were married August 1st at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the Penn State Campus. Since it was an evening ceremony, we only had time for a brief photo stop at the Hintz Alumni Center, before heading to the reception at the Penn Stater Conference Center and Hotel. It was a crazy and fun-filled night of celebration, and we were pretty exhausted by midnight, when the “official” party ended! Anyway, here’s some favorites, along with a photo slideshow – Enjoy!
