Janet and Adam’s Wedding at St. Paul’s and Celebration Hall

Janet and Adam were married at  St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. After a wonderful ceremony officiated by Reverend Eric Shafer, the newlyweds exited to bubbles and a short drive down College Avenue (which made for some great photo ops!). Then we headed on to campus for some shots at the Nittany Lion Shrine and the Hintz Alumni Center. We arrived at the reception at Celebration Hall with time to take a few fun photos outside before the new couple was announced into the reception by DJ Jeff Helffrich. The floral design was by Woodrings Floral Gardens and the cake was from For Heaven Cakes by Tracey Coleman. It was a fun night, with a conga line, limbo, and some great couples dancing down the line!

As a special treat, Janet’s uncle wrote a song for the montage slideshow we put together of favorite wedding day images and video segments. Check it out below!

Congratulations Janet and Adam and thanks for having us as your photographers!

State College Wedding Photography – Kim and Joe’s Wedding

We photograph quite a few weddings in Eisenhower Chapel on the campus of Penn State University – lots of alumni come back to Penn State to get married. The weather wasn’t supposed to be very nice for Kim and Joe’s wedding there on October 24th, but it turned into a beautiful fall day by the time the ceremony began. Usually the chapel is a difficult place to photograph because it is a bit dark, but the sunlight streaming in the windows made us very happy :)
After the formals, we headed to the Lion Shrine for a few photos atop the Lion, and then to Old Main. The fall colors on campus were spectacular, the mix of sun and clouds made for perfect photo conditions, and the wedding party was easygoing and fun to photograph!
Our final stop before the reception was Fenske Lab, where Kim and Joe spent way too much time – they are both chemical engineering grads. That’s not our usual type of background for wedding photos, but we’re always up for anything! We even learned what a condensation tube was (okay, we still don’t know what it does or if we even got the name right!!)
The reception was held at Celebration Hall in State College. In anticipation of Kim and Joe’s entrance, the guests were lifted from their seats and encouraged to do the “wave” by the Nittany Lion Mascot (ok, not the real Lion, just a guest dressed in a Lion mascot suit!). The remainder of the evening was just as much fun – lots of eating, drinking, dancing, and celebration. Congrats, Kim and Joe – thanks for choosing us!
