Jenny and Jeremy were married October 3rd in Julian, Pennsylvania. We met them for the first time at Jeremy’s sister Rachael’s wedding in 2007. They were a couple back then, and we were very excited when Jenny contacted us to ask us if we would photograph their wedding. After a wonderful ceremony, we headed to the Arboretum at Penn State for a few pictures (Jenny and Jeremy got to ride in a sweet 1966 Mustang!). The reception was held at the Ramada Inn, and it was nice to see so many familiar faces – one of the best parts of this job is getting to know the families and friends of our clients. Thanks, Jenny and Jeremy, for letting us share in your wedding day – we had a blast!

Here is our first wedding at Centre Furnace Mansion – we’ve done lots of portraits and engagement sessions there, so we were very excited when Katie and Anthony called us to inquire about photography for their wedding day. It’s a small world – after our initial consultation call with Katie, she called back 10 minutes later when she realized that Vicky used to teach her dance as a teenager!
The ceremony was held on the hill behind the mansion, and the weather did it’s best to cooperate – a bit windy and cool, but no rain. Katie and Anthony were definitely ready for the warmth of the Atherton Hotel by the time the photos were finished!
The ballroom at the Atherton was lit almost entirely by candlelight, creating a warm, romantic setting for their reception. Vicky and I really enjoyed the lighting – it gave us a chance to turn off the flashes on the cameras and shoot with the available light in the room (nothing spoils a romantic moment like a poorly used flash!). We have lots of video to share from this wedding as well – we’re becoming big fans of photofusion (mixing video in with our stills).
Ok, enough photographer talk – Katie and Anthony’s wedding day was truly beautiful, and the credit goes to them and their guests for being so wonderful to work with. Thanks for sharing your day with us!

Senior photo season is winding down, but we have a few more to share with you. Here’s Kelsey, a senior at Bellefonte Area High School. We spent the first part of her session in our studio – Kelsey is a cheerleader, so we had to get a few shots of her in her uniform, complete with pom-poms, of course! Then we headed off on foot around Boalsburg, visiting a few of our favorite locations. We always try to get some serious looks out of our seniors, and Kelsey couldn’t hold a straight face for long without cracking up! But, by the end of the session she had it down…Thanks, Kelsey!

Here in State College, Penn State Football is king – every hotel, motel, and banquet hall is booked solid (i.e. no weddings on Football Saturdays!). September 19th was a home game for the Lions – however we were fortunate enough to be in beautiful Ligonier, Pa to photograph Kara and Brandon’s wedding. They were married at the Heritage United Methodist Church on the square in Ligonier. After spending some time at the gazebo in the park and at Fort Ligonier, we headed to the Ligonier Country Inn for a night of food, dancing, and celebration. The 18 or so Marines at the party kept things interesting as well! Thanks Kara and Brandon, for having us as your photographers!

We’re up late working and Jim came across this gem while processing Tracy and Nate’s engagement pictures. (Yes, we have a GREAT time with our engagement sessions!) This is such a funny picture, we just had to share it with you. It makes me laugh every time I look at it – hopefully you’ll enjoy it, too!
We were really excited when Jake called us and asked us to take his senior photos – we had photographed him before as part of Kennedy Dance Centre’s annual performance. Vicky and I knew he could sing, dance, and perform on stage, but we were still amazed when we walked into his family’s church to start the shoot and found him playing the piano, singing Aerosmith’s “Don’t wanna miss a thing”. We let Jake continue to play while we photographed him from a bunch of different angles, using both studio light and the soft light filtering in through the stained glass windows.
Talleyrand Park was our next stop, and Jake provided us with one of our more memorable shoots – he was full of creative energy, cool poses, and humor. The hardest part for us was simply to keep up and not miss anything! Thanks a million, Jake – we had a blast!

What a season it’s been for high school senior photos – we’ve been so fortunate to have a bunch of girls and guys who really are into the shoot. Emily, our latest client was no exception – from the first photo we took in the studio, Vicky and I knew we were going to have a great time with her. We did her outdoor session at the Hintz Alumni Center on the Penn State Campus, on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Emily was a dream to work with – cool, relaxed, a natural poser, and boy could she ever stare into the camera…check out a few of our favorites, and don’t forget to view the slideshow!

We have a beautiful view of Egg Hill from our front porch, and it was even more amazing yesterday afternoon – a brilliant double rainbow that lasted several minutes. I took a few quick snaps with our Canon G10, then put the camera down and enjoyed the show…

Hello everyone – we’re back again with our latest senior from State High – Alli. From the moment she walked into our studio, we knew we were going to have a great time – Alli has a natural, relaxed presence, a great smile, and can really move for the camera! We spent the entire session in the studio, keeping it simple with white and black backgrounds. We finished up with some volleyball pics – trying to catch the ball in the air and Alli with her game face on took us a few tries! Oh, and by the way – there are some snippets of video in the slideshow – check it out!

Here’s our latest high school senior – meet Laura. We’ve actually been photographing her for a few years – Laura is a figure skater, and we’ve taken her portraits as well as photographing her skating during the Penn State Ice Show. After spending some time in the studio, we took a walk through the back streets of Boalsburg, stopping at a few favorite places. We asked Laura to do the “model walk” for us, and she happily agreed, even taking our suggestion to stop and give us her best “pout” – nobody (including Laura) could keep a straight face for long!
