I first met Sara when she took my dance class with a friend. She had already scheduled her senior session with us, but this was the first time meeting in person. From the minute she walked into the class, I knew we’d have a great time photographing her – Sara is exuberant and very outgoing! We went to her house for the session and ended it in great field nearby. The next day when she walked into class, the first thing she asked was “when do I get to see the pictures?”. I guess she had a great time, too!

August is a big wedding month in State College, but we finally found some time to show you some of our seniors…. We met Emily at Hintz Alumni Center for her senior session (yes, it’s a very popular place for photos!). It was a beautiful evening and Emily couldn’t stop smiling – we all had a great time! We did manage to get a few serious looks out of her, but Emily’s smile won out in the end…

We’ve been to most of the reception venues in the area, but this was our first time at the Days Inn Penn State. Jess and Andy were married there on August 8th – they had the ceremony inside the lobby of the Hotel. There is a huge atrium, complete with a water wall and gazebo, and the interior walls are decorated to look like storefronts in a little town. It made for a beautiful and unique setting for their wedding day. We spent a few minutes at the Hintz Alumni Center on the Penn State Campus (mostly dodging the rain!), and then returned to the Days Inn for the reception in the Ballroom. Jess’s side of the family have a “dance” that they do at all family gatherings (you have to see it to believe it!) – watch the video at the end of this post to see what we’re talking about!
Thanks, Jess and Andy for sharing your day with us!

We’ve never been to Lock Haven for an engagement session before, so we were excited when Katie and Corey wanted their engagement photos there. Turns out they are both Lock Haven grads, and the University holds many special memories for them. It was a photographer’s paradise – views along the Susquehanna River, wildflowers, and beautifully manicured gardens. Katie and Corey deserve most of the credit, though – they are clearly crazy about each other, and totally relaxed in front of the camera. We came away with a bunch of great shots, and here’s a few we’d like to share – Thanks, Katie and Corey, and we can’t wait for your wedding!

The last two weeks have been incredibly busy, but we’ve finally managed to get some photos up from Erica and Kelly’s wedding. They were married August 1st at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the Penn State Campus. Since it was an evening ceremony, we only had time for a brief photo stop at the Hintz Alumni Center, before heading to the reception at the Penn Stater Conference Center and Hotel. It was a crazy and fun-filled night of celebration, and we were pretty exhausted by midnight, when the “official” party ended! Anyway, here’s some favorites, along with a photo slideshow – Enjoy!

Vicky’s view of the processional – I’m hiding beside mom!

16 attendants – now that’s a wedding party!

Here’s a few images from Bobby’s senior session around the Penn State Campus – we had to cut the first session short due to rain, but the weather cooperated beautifully for our second meeting. Our thanks to Bobby for being totally happy, relaxed, and into the shoot!

It’s Sunday afternoon, and we’re slowly recovering from a long and wonderful day of photography for Erica and Kelly’s wedding yesterday – 16 attendants, 250 guests! In the process of downloading and backing up the images, we ran across this gem, and we had to share it with you – enjoy!
