Katie and Anthony’s Wedding – State College, PA Photography
Here is our first wedding at Centre Furnace Mansion – we’ve done lots of portraits and engagement sessions there, so we were very excited when Katie and Anthony called us to inquire about photography for their wedding day. It’s a small world – after our initial consultation call with Katie, she called back 10 minutes later when she realized that Vicky used to teach her dance as a teenager!
The ceremony was held on the hill behind the mansion, and the weather did it’s best to cooperate – a bit windy and cool, but no rain. Katie and Anthony were definitely ready for the warmth of the Atherton Hotel by the time the photos were finished!
The ballroom at the Atherton was lit almost entirely by candlelight, creating a warm, romantic setting for their reception. Vicky and I really enjoyed the lighting – it gave us a chance to turn off the flashes on the cameras and shoot with the available light in the room (nothing spoils a romantic moment like a poorly used flash!). We have lots of video to share from this wedding as well – we’re becoming big fans of photofusion (mixing video in with our stills).
Ok, enough photographer talk – Katie and Anthony’s wedding day was truly beautiful, and the credit goes to them and their guests for being so wonderful to work with. Thanks for sharing your day with us!
