We met Sarah and Mike at Toftrees Resort for “getting ready” coverage, one of our favorite parts of the wedding day. Since there are two of us, we go in two separate directions – Vicky with the girls and Jim with the guys – to capture some wonderful moments before the ceremony. Sarah and Mike were married at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the campus of Penn State University. After an exit to bubbles, we headed over to The Nittany Lion Shrine, Hintz Alumni Center and Old Main for a few romantic photos of the newlyweds and some fun shots with the wedding party – check out the favorites below! Then it was off to Toftrees Resort for the reception, with Nittany Entertainment providing great music, amazing floral design by Avant Gardens, and yellow and blue table decor – so colorful and beautiful! In addition to the wedding cake, Delectable Delights by Heather Luse created individual cakes in a variety of flavors and design as centerpieces for each table. Guests had a great time sampling cakes from other tables and searching for the chocolate cake, which of course, was gone quickly!
What a great way to end a wonderful day – congratulations Sarah and Mike!
We had an amazing time with Kara and Matt and their families and friends! They were married at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the Penn State Campus. It was a true PSU wedding – check out Kara’s blue shoes and Matt’s blue & white socks in the photos below! There were quite a few tears shed during the ceremony and a very special surprise appearance by Kara’s grandmother (more tears!). We did a campus tour to all of the important spots – The Nittany Lion Shrine, Hintz Alumni Center, Old Main, and the Penn State sign by Beaver Stadium – and got some wonderful images! Then it was off to General Potter Farm for the reception, with beautiful floral design by Avant Garden, cake from Delectable Delights and music from Nittany Entertainment. We love General Potter Farm receptions for the wonderful, warm ambience. The toasts by the maid of honor and best man were two of the most heartfelt we’ve heard (yes, more tears!). The toasts were followed by the 1st dance and parent dances (and yes, even more tears!!). Kara and Matt, thanks so much for having us as your photographers – we enjoyed every minute! Congratulations and best wishes ~Vicky and Jim

We don’t travel to Altoona often, so Katie and Corey’s wedding was a nice change for us, giving us new locations to shoot in and keeping us on our toes! The ceremony was held at the beautifully ornate Sacred Heart Church. Corey was a wonderfully attentive groom, helping Katie up the steps to the altar when her dress got caught (he gets even better later on in the day!). We got some lovely formal photos – it was definitely a picturesque church! Daniel Vaughn Designs did an amazing job with the floral design at the ceremony and the reception. The material that was wrapped around the stems of Katie’s bouquet was actually part of her mothers wedding dress – what a great idea! After the ceremony we headed to the same location that Katie’s parents had their wedding photos taken, and Corey again impressed us by helping to bustle Katie’s gown – check out the photo and slideshow below We got a few beautiful photos with the sun peeking through the trees, then it was off to the reception at the Altoona Heritage Discovery Center, another new location for us! After some wonderful toasts by Katie’s dad, the best man and the maid of honor, the night was full of family, friends and dancing. Thanks for letting us be a part of it – congratulations Katie and Corey!
Courtney and Andy’s wedding was a blast! They were married at Grace Lutheran Church in State College, with the reception under the tent at Earlystown Manor. After a beautiful ceremony officiated by Pastor Lynn, – complete with flowers from Woodrings Floral Gardens – we headed over to the Hintz Family Alumni Center for a few shots with the bridal party and the new couple. We even got some great photos of Courtney and Andy with the vintage Crown Victoria they were riding in – very fun! Then it was off to the reception with cocktail hour music by the Rick Hisch Trio, a delicious cake by Delectable Delights and Nittany Entertainment to keep the dance floor full all night. One of the highlights of the night was the “Single Ladies” dance by all of the girls in the bridal party – the other was a mini 4th of July celebration, complete with sparklers – check out the slideshow below for some video
Thanks for letting us join in the celebration - Congratulations Courtney and Andy!
Melissa and Jason had a late afternoon ceremony at Eisenhower Chapel on the campus of Penn State University. It was another one of those hot days, so we were glad the sun was lower in the sky for our walk around campus for photos after the ceremony! We visited the Nittany Lion and Hintz Alumni Center before heading off to the reception at the University Club in State College. We even managed to sneak outside for some great shots outside the Club in the beautiful evening light – our favorite time of day!
Becky and Auggie were married at the Pasquerilla Spiritual Center on the Penn State University campus. Both the bride and the groom started out the day at The Nittany Lion Inn, a great location for getting ready photos – accented with beautiful flowers by Narber’s Floral Company. Then it was off to the ceremony and a short campus tour (it was a HOT day!) before heading back to the Inn for the reception. Lively music by the DJ, Mark Giordano, a friend of Becky and Auggie, had the dance floor filled for the rest of the night!
What a great time we had at Christen and Jeremy’s wedding! The ceremony was held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in State College, with the always entertaining and thoughtful Father Charles officiating. Our first stop on campus was the Nittany Lion Shrine. You should have seen Christen climbing up on the Lion – classic!! – check out the slideshow for a hilarious shot . Then it was off to Old Main for some romantic photos of the newlyweds and finally a stop at the JoePa statue for the guys (with a very funny moment from Jeremy!). The reception at Toftrees was accented by beautiful flowers from Woodrings Floral Gardens and an amazing cake from Delectable Delights, with Eric Stoner from Nittany Entertainment keeping the party rolling . We ended the night with a sunset walk on the golf course… and a surprise gift from the groom to his new bride – perfect!
Sara and Zac’s wedding was our first at Earlystown Manor, a beautiful location for a wedding in Central Pennsylvania. The Manor was a great location for getting ready – Sara and the girls had the carriage house all to themselves, while Zac and the guys were able to roam around outside (hanging out with some large hay bales – check out the video below!). The flowers by Avant Garden were gorgeous and although rain threatened the outdoor ceremony, we all made it through the processional before it hit. Everyone grabbed their chairs and relocated under the tent to resume the ceremony. Sara and Zac had two of the most heartfelt vows we’ve heard, and even though the outdoor ceremony they had planned had to be changed a bit, they were obviously so happy to be getting married that a little rain wasn’t going to dampen their spirits – a great way to start a marriage! The reception under the tent was filled with great food, family, and friends. Toss in a delicious cake by Delectable Delights and some amazing music by Maxwell Strait and you have the recipe for an awesome evening!
Congratulations Sara and Zac! Here is a sneak peek of some of our favorite images and a video montage from your wedding. Enjoy!
Kristen and Jared were married at Brookmere Winery on May 22, 2010. What a beautiful place for a wedding! Although the weather didn’t cooperate with plans to hold the ceremony on the lawn, there was a large tree outside the Inn that provided shelter for the formals, so we were able to get some “outdoor” photos after all! The reception was a lot of fun, with great food and dancing (including a solo by the groom!).
Kristen and Jared, here are some of our favorite images – through them we hope you and your families and friends will be able to relive your wedding day. Congratulations!
